She began her interest in the medical field as a phlebotomist, received a certification as an EMT Basic, and worked as a dental assistant. In 2001 she began her career in massage therapy. She received her massage and Natural Therapy Specialist Certificate from the New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics. In 2002 she became interested in Acupuncture and after four years received her Masters. She also participated in an internship in Vietnam. There she worked in a hospital that used acupuncture and herbs to treat patients with severe to moderate conditions. Dr. Meade believes that healthcare starts with a good patient to doctor relationship. It is important that a good relationship is established due to the fact that healing is a journey.
